Talán nem mindenki ismeri Erdély és a székelyek történelmét, de Marosvásárhely egykor a székelyek fővárosa volt. Idén, a „székely szabadság napja” megemlékezésén megtiltották nekik, hogy egykori fővárosukban felvonuljanak.
Ehelyett George Simion bandájának, akiket autóbuszokkal hoztak Erdélyen kívülről, engedélyezték, hogy eltorlaszolják az utcákat, és felvonulást és ellentüntetést szervezzenek a város napján. A város „román” napján.

Poate nu toți cunosc istoria Transilvaniei și istoria secuilor, dar orașul Târgu Mureș era cândva capitala secuilor. Anul acesta la comemorarea „zilei libertății secuilor” le-a fost interzis marșul în fosta lor capitală.
În schimb gașca lui George Simion adusă cu autocare din afara Transilvaniei a primit dreptul de a bloca străzi și a face un marș și o contramanifestație la zilele orașului. Zilele „românești” ale orașului.
Cam atât despre drepturile egale al cetățenilor României. Cam atât despre drepturile uneia dintre grupurile etnice cele mai vechi atestate din Transilvania și de pe teritoriul actualei Românii. Cam atât despre drepturile unui grup etnic maghiar care a luptat cot la cot alături de români în oastea lui Mihai Viteazul.
Mesajul a fost destul de clar: trăiască toți cetățenii creștini ortodocși de etnie română a țării! Restul se pare că suntem cetățeni de categoria a doua. Care nu avem voie nici la comemorări pașnice pe pământul strămoșilor noștri…

The message is quite clear: long live all the etnic Romanian Orthodox Christian citizens of Romania! The rest of us seem to be second-class citizens. We are not allowed to participate in peaceful commemorations on the land of our ancestors…
